Kimmo Pyykkö Art Museum

Kimmo Pyykkö Art Museum situates in the Kangasala Arts Centre, which is architecturally impressive and award-winning art center in the heart of Kangasala. Art Museum displays three changing exhibitions per year. Permanent exhibition Long-distance Atelier focuses on life and work of sculptor, professor Kimmo Pyykkö in the atelier-like exhibition.

In the Summer 2018 the exhibition, Picassosta Pyykköön − Lahtiset keräilijöinä (From Picasso to Pyykkö − Lahtinen Collection), brings art from the Lahtinens’ collection for the audience to behold. The collection was gathered over several decades by famous Finnish publisher and journalist Urpo Lahtinen (1931−1994) with his wife Hymy Lahtinen (1930−2017) and their son, Jeppe Lahtinen. See more.

The exhibition is open to public from 16th of June until 9th of September 2018.
