Arrival and Parking

Address: Kuohunharjuntie 6, 36200 Kangasala

Kangasala Arts Centre is located in the heart of Kangasala, next to the main library and within easy walking distance of the town square and bus station.

The nearest accessible parking space is located in the Kangasala central square parking area (Torikatu). Taxis and vehicles transporting visitors with disabilities may access the main entrance directly from Kuohunharjuntie.

Accessibility

Kangasala Arts Centre and Kimmo Pyykkö Art Museum are designed to be accessible to as many visitors as possible.

The main entrance doors open automatically and the entrance threshold is less than 20 mm high.

Kangasala Arts Centre has two levels and the art museum has three levels. Elevators are available in both buildings. The main elevator is located in the corridor connecting the Arts Centre and the library, behind a glass door.

The box office and the entrance to the art museum are located on the ground floor, to the right of the main entrance.

Kangasala Hall can be accessed from both floors.

Accessible toilet facilities and baby changing facilities are available on the ground floor.

A wheelchair and a pushchair are available for visitors to borrow. Foldable chairs are also available in the art museum.

Customers Needing Assistance

There are two wheelchair spaces in Kangasala Hall, located at both ends of row 10. The wheelchair spaces can be accessed from the second floor.

A companion seat is always reserved next to each wheelchair space.  Please check companion ticket policies with the customer service.

Visitors using walking aids can access the concert hall from the ground floor through the entrance opposite the box office. The front rows of the hall are accessible.

Induction Loop

Kangasala Hall is equipped with an induction loop system for visitors using hearing aids.

The best listening experience is available at both ends of the middle rows.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome at Kangasala Arts Centre and Kimmo Pyykkö Art Museum.

If you are attending an event in Kangasala Hall with an assistance dog, please contact us in advance. We can arrange either a quiet resting area for the dog during the performance or seating with space for the dog nearby.
